Sitting in the Waiting Room

I just heard Fugazi‘s “Waiting Room” (which originally appeared on the 7 Songs E.P.) for about the one millionth time, but somehow I never really noticed/paid attention to this lyric before:

I’m gonna fight for what I want to be
I won’t make the same mistakes
Because I know how much time that wastes

That’s pretty fitting for me, since I’ve wasted so much time with my porn addiction and I am fighting for what I want to be, which is the best me I can possibly be.

(Incidentally, Fugazi is amazing and worth checking out. You should do that now.)
